This training is an outstanding opportunity, not usually available in a local church setting, for exploring the call to ministry and becoming better prepared and equipped for ministry leadership

This year-long experience will include two tracks:  Track One is a seminar that meets once per month for two hours at a time and place of mutual agreement. This Track explores the personal side of Christian Leadership and the call to ministry.

The second track includes 3 or 4 quarters of specific instruction in several key knowledge areas including: (1) Bible Interpretation, (2) Bible Survey (an overview of the Bible) and (3) Basic Theology (Christian Beliefs). We may also include other optional classes on public speaking or other desirable skills depending on the needs that become apparent.  This second track will take place on a regular basis like early on a Sunday morning at a time when folks are free and not otherwise committed to ministry or leadership. If weekly, these classes will not be more than 1 hour in length. They may also include textbooks and/or study material to work on during the week.

The qualifications for participating in this Training for Leadership in Ministry include:

1. Participants must be involved in some on-going and regular ministry.

2. Participants must not be new believers

3. Participants must be approved by a Pastoral staff member.

4. Participants must agree to meet regularly with the approving staff member for related mentoring during the Training for Leadership period.

5. Participants must commit to participating in both tracks unless otherwise excused by the approving staff member.

6. Participants must regularly prepare for meetings, including reading all required books/Scripture and completing all required worksheets.

7. Participants will need to buy the required materials. If you need assistance, it is available. Remember that your reading and work will take place over the period of (at least) one year, so you don't need to buy and read everything at once!
