We believe that growth groups offer individuals the best opportunity to connect with others, to develop real friendships and to grow spiritually.  Andys_Growth_Group_Logo_SmallAt FBC Boise we offer a variety of different compositions, styles, meeting places and times.  A Growth Group consist of 6 to 12 people who meet weekly in someone's  home for fellowship.  Our groups may eat together, study together, pray together or even play together.
Questions about Growth Groups
When and where do groups meet?
Groups meet Monday through Sunday and meet in one of the group member's homes.  Usually the location is consistent, but sometimes other group members take turns hosting the group meeting at their house.
How often do the groups meet?
Grous meet weekly.  Some groups do not meet during the summer.
How long does a growth group last?
Growth groups start in the Fall and last about 12 weeks with a second session starting in January.
Am I allowed to try out/change Growth Groups?
New growth group members are encouraged to use a short try out period but can feel free to switch groups at any time.
How long does each group meeting last?
Each group picks the group meeting time length.  Most groups meet for 1.5 to 2 hours.
What goes on at a group meeting?
Though each group differs in how they do things, many group have a social time in the beginning, and then transition to a time wheree they discuss the sermon notes and questions and then they pray for each other.  Many times they schedule special get togethers for meals, bar-b-q's, and camping trips.
How do groups add additional group members?
We encourage group members to contact fellow church members about attending their growth groups.
What does it mean when a group "multiples"?
Group leaders will train an apprentice during the course of the 12 weeks.  It is our hope that this apprentice will start a new growth group therefore multiplying the number of growth groups available for new members.
