1. What is mentoring?
Mentoring is one person assisting and encouraging another in personal growth through an intentional, structured relationship including regular meetings for joint conversation and activities. Mentors are like coaches or personal trainers for one’s spiritual life.
2. How can a mentor help me?
Mentors can help us to grow by helping to focus our growth efforts, by listening and asking penetrating questions, and by sharing from their own life experience and learning.
Mentors can help with specific growth needs or help us to discover where we need to grow.
3. How frequently and for how long do mentors meet with mentees?
Mentors and mentees generally meet weekly for an hour or a bit more. Many chose to meet for coffee or perhaps a meal. Our Introduction to Mentoring is a 12-week program.
4. What happens when the twelve weeks are over?
Mentors and mentees may chose to continue to meet following this program. We also hope some of our mentees will consider becoming mentors for others!
