Preschool Leader, 5-6th Grade Teacher, SHIFT leader
A leader will be influencing children’s lives with God’s love and message.  They will interact with kids in small groups and one-on-one to encourage relationship building in peer groups. Leaders maintain a classroom environment that is physically and emotionally safe. They also facilitate activities, ask questions, and lead discussions to help kids apply Biblical truths to their lives. Leaders review and reinforce the teaching presented in large group time. Finally, they pray with and for the kids.
Who the position reports to: Children’s Ministry Director
Time required per week/month: Weekly. Arrive 15 minutes before service begins; 1-3 hours per week (class time, prayer time, connecting with kids and parents).
Term of commitment: One year minimum
Qualifications: A small group leader should enjoy shepherding, teaching, and connecting with kids (ages 5-12). Leaders must pass a criminal background check.
Training provided: Hands-on training in class as needed. Regular children’s ministry and training sessions during the year (2-3 annually). Must attend a general training session prior to serving.
Benefits for the volunteer: These leaders find joy and satisfaction in helping kids to meet Jesus, fall in love with Him and his people and begin a lifelong walk with Christ.

Nursery Worker
Caregivers ensure safety and care in the nursery. They give parents the gift of freedom to worship, knowing their kids are safe and cared for.  Nursery caregivers attend to the needs of infants and toddlers, comfort and play with children, set-up and clean-up nursery.
Who the position reports to: Nursery & Preschool Coordinator
Time required per week/month: Serve 15 minutes before service through service time (1.5 hours). Serve weekly or regular rotation during the month. Must serve a minimum of one service per month.
Term of commitment: One year minimum
Qualifications: A caregiver should have the ability and desire to love and comfort babies and toddlers.
Training provided: Must attend a training session prior to serving.
Benefits for the volunteer: As a caregiver, you’ll find peace and joy in showing God’s love to babies and toddlers.

Teacher Assistant
An assistant will help the leader influence children’s lives with God’s love and message.  They will assist the leader as he or she interacts with kids in small groups and one-on-one to encourage relationship building in peer groups.
