Mentor
Mentoring is one person assisting and encouraging another in personal growth through an intentional, structured relationship including regular meetings for joint conversation and activities. Mentors are like coaches or personal trainers for a person’s spiritual life.
Reports to: Mentor Ministry Director (Pastor Andy)
Time Required: 1-2 hrs. weekly
Term of commitment: 12 weeks minimum
Qualifications: Progress in Christian maturity, personal interest in others’ spiritual growth
Suitable Spiritual Gifts: pastor, encouragement, wisdom, teaching, knowledge
Training: 1 hr. either at training event or 1 on 1 with Director
Benefits for volunteer: boost to your own growth, knowing you’ve helped another grow
Growth Group Leader
Our key volunteers in our growth groups are the leaders. These are people who are responsible for influencing the direction of their growth group, are held accountable to upholding our growth group expectations, and who communicate and meet regularly with a Growth Group Coach.
Reports to: Growth Group Coach (Dan Dunne)
Time Required: 1.5-2 hrs. weekly, plus monthly 1-2 hrs. with coach plus quarterly Growth Group Leaders’ meetings
Term of commitment: 6 months minimum
Qualifications: Not a new believer, growth in spiritual maturity, submissive to appropriate spiritual authority
Suitable Spiritual Gifts: pastor, encouragement, administration
Training: On the job and quarterly Leaders’ meetings
Growth Group Host
All of our growth groups meet in homes. A growth group host is an individual, couple, or family who is willing to open their house to their growth group every week. At minimum this requires providing a room in which 10-12 people can comfortably gather in a distraction free environment. Some hosts will choose to provide light refreshments, while other groups share this responsibility.
Reports to: Growth Group Leader
Time Required: 1.5-2 hrs. weekly
Term of commitment: 6 months minimum
Qualifications: Servant Heart
Suitable Spiritual Gifts: hospitality, encouragement service, helps
Growth Group Apprentice
Our key volunteers in our growth groups are the leaders. These are people who are responsible for influencing the direction of their growth group, are held accountable to upholding our growth group expectations, and who communicate and meet regularly with a Growth Group Coach.

Time Required: 1.5-2 hrs. weekly  plus quarterly Growth Group Leaders’ meetings
Term of commitment: 6 months minimum + willingness to serve as a Growth Group Leader (in time)
Qualifications: Not a new believer, growth in spiritual maturity, submissive to appropriate spiritual authority
Suitable Spiritual Gifts: pastor, encouragement, administration
Training: On the job and quarterly Leaders’ meetings
Administrative Assistant – Equipping Ministry
This person will assist the Pastor of Equipping Ministries by performing various administrative and clerical functions
Reports to: Pastor of Equipping Ministries (Pastor Andy)
Time Required: 2-4 hrs. weekly
Term of commitment: indefinite
Qualifications: administrative and clerical skills, computer skills including email and Word. Competency with our CCB system. Competency with Publisher useful but not required.

Training: On the job
Benefit for Volunteer: The knowledge that you’ve personally helped a member of our pastoral staff.
Adult Sunday School Teacher
Adult Sunday School Teachers facilitate and lead adult group learning experiences during a worship time on Sunday mornings.
Reports to: Pastor of Equipping Ministry (Pastor Andy)
Time Required: 1-2 hrs. weekly, plus study/prep time
Term of commitment: 12 weeks minimum
Qualifications: Progress in Christian maturity, personal interest in others’ spiritual growth
Suitable Spiritual Gifts: pastor, encouragement, wisdom, teaching, knowledge

Finance Committee Member
The Finance Committee reviews and oversees the work of the Treasurer and provides financial formation and counsel to the Leadership Board. This includes monthly reports and collecting information for, formatting and presenting the yearly budget to the Board and church.

Time Required: 2 hrs. monthly
Term of commitment: none
Qualifications: Progress in Christian maturity, financial knowledge and skills
Suitable Spiritual Gifts: administration, wisdom, discernment
Training: none
